Facebook announced that it is launching a new feature called "Live Shopping Fridays" in the United States, which will allow businesses to sell products during a live stream. The feature will be available every Friday from now until the end of July and will include brands such as Sephora, Abercrombie & Fitch, and Bobbi Brown Cosmetics.

During the live streams, viewers will be able to purchase products directly from the video or save them to a wishlist for later. Facebook will not take a cut of any sales made during the live streams, but it will benefit from increased engagement on its platform.

This move by Facebook comes as more people are shopping online due to the pandemic, and as social media platforms look for ways to capitalize on the trend.
